And another week grinds to a close - we are in the home straight now.

Any nice plans for the weekend? Or not so nice ones? Will you be cheering for the All Blacks or the French or will it pass you by? Seeing family or friends? Or just a quiet one?

I'm sulking.

It's Owen's birthday on Sunday so we'll see what he wants to do. It looks like we might be going for an Indian....great!
Work then England v France (Rugby League) tonight.
Work tomorrow (10:00 a.m. til 7:00 p.m.) and then off on Sunday to watch the Manchester derby.
eye test
visiting relatives
several walks
A quiet weekend at home with Mr Cake, planning on having some good food and a lot of chilling.

If he mood takes us we might wander over to a local craft fair which usually has some really nice stuff to lust after.
mostly trying to get rid of this poxy cold but hope to get into the rag market to price up some fabric for a dress... maybe buy it if I get a good price.

Phone calls.... bit of cooking.... after a swooning session this evening
Quiet weekend and then I am on leave next week. We'll be supporting the all blacks!
ooh what are you swooning at rowan :)
playing rugby tomorrow against top of the league who've been beating everyone by about 50 points so might be a bruiser, and a quiet day Sunday, very possibly a duvet and dvd day because I'm skint until Tuesday! I'll be cheering on the All Blacks, not that I think they'll need my support!

Why are you sulking ummm?

Shame about the "work" bit JN!

Cazz and EC - you seem to have it sussed (apart from the eye test bit!).

I've got a shed load of housework to do, which is a shame because I've been invited out to an antiques fair. The OH isn't keen on my going after I spent quite a bit of money at the last one. oopsie.
Watching the rugby, watching the Motogp, turning the compost heap and seeing a couple of old friends. Living life on the edge that's me. :-)
Because I didn't get stone roses tickets :-(
Martin Hughes Games on Autumnwatch tonight mind you there will be swooning in ladybirder and Chaffinches places too
well you ladybirder and chaffinch are on your own there with the swooning :o

(you mean the geezer with the long hair?)
Going out tonight with my sister then tomorrow night out to a dinner dance , finish school today for a week so lovely lie ins next week for me : )
Out for drinks with friends tonight and then playing with my new laptop tomorrow, assuming it arrives this afternoon when it's supposed to.
Got grandson for weekend, son coming on Sunday to watch the M/cr Derby on Sky. They will both stay over and go home Monday. Will be nice to have four generations of males in the house again - 93, 64, 40 and 15. I keep telling the grandson to look at the other three as that is his future. The horror on his face is real fun. LOL. Think I will escape for some retail therapy.

Eccles Cake - are you from Eccles or do you just like them?
Bakersdozen - neither I'm afraid! It's a play on the family name ;-)

Excellent surname! Mrs Cakeeccles! lol

Sounds like everyone has some nice stuff planned.
Family here from the Channel Islands, sister and her tribe - haven't seen my baby sis in 16 months/ Getting in the wine for if she has a glass, she has four.

Got a £10 bet on the All Blacks by aa min of 35 points @20-1

The odds on the All Blacks win are 9-1 on, France @6-1 and the bookie manager was prepared to go to 10-1 on this....however not interested in that.
