Thanks redcrx.

For those of you that are pregnant did you conceive without having one?
No offence, but dont you think thats too personal and unnecessary?

Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone - I asked the question as I struggle to orgasm during sex but want reassurance that I will be able to get pregnant. Oops, didn't really think how personal a question it is!!
Thats ok, like red has said, you dont need to have an orgasm to fall pregnant so dont let that worry you. Dont try to hard either, to fall pregnant that is, as the stress and anxiety could prevent things from happening. Just relax and have fun and let nature take its course.
Awww asteroid that made me smile!

I am 35 weeks pregnant. Whats an orgasm? LOL!
It's not essential asteroid, but I have read that it can help somewhat.

Also, I am not sure that there are that many people who could tell you the exact night that they conceived (go on everyone.... prove me wrong now....) so as to be sure that they had an orgasm through... erm..... penetration that particular night or not.

Blimey, I am blushing 'ere. Good job none of you can see me ;-)

3am 21st/2nd July 2007 natalie. Oh and yes (yes, yes yeesssssssssssssssssssssssss)

That also proves to many that i can only take one time too. Well once that month anyway lol

I don't know about the orgasm, but a good bottle of wine always seems to help conception ................. and orgasm for that matter!!!

Apparantly the contractions of the orgasm aid the passage of the sperm towards the egg. However, they seem to get there anyway with or without an orgasm and I guess it depends on the timing of the egg release etc. Or maybe the mother is just so chilled out - it de-stresses her and gives the sperm good vibes!
Don't call me a nonce - where I live that means paedophile, and I think that's a tad harsh.

The physiology behind the female orgasm is simple. When a woman has an orgasm her cervix, the mouth of the uterus, contracts as the uterus moves. This causes the uterus to dip or bob into the vagina. If the male has already had an orgasm, then this area is rich in semen (sperm). This motion of the cervix will actually draw the semen into the cervix and uterus to aid in it's passage towards the ripe egg.
3ight8ball as you can see from Nats link she is perfectly correct. I would have assumed someone of your intellectual stature would have know this (warpig takes tongue out of cheek).
Question Author
3ight8ball that was out of order. especially since you obviously don't know what you are talking about,
