Oh dear, they're about to switch the heating off at work because the guys on the shopfloor have been complaining that they're too hot!
Question Author
I can understand that, Prudie. It's been pretty warm at work this week ( shop floor ) for me to.
Since I heard about this, I've been taking advantage of the good weather to pick the last of the blackberries, the sloes and have picked too many elderberries today, (I'm knackered!). I've only got the rose hips to go now, but haven't got much space left in the freezer, so I'll have to crack on and get wines started. One is already blooping its way to dryness. It's a beauty!

Cheers for that Tony, suppose I better check the 4x4 over then, not been used for a while, the Boss has been driving the Beemer for months.
I shall get into hibernation mode and use up my stock cupboard.

Wine sounds just grand SirA, if I run dry I may send for some.
Oh damn, I'll have people panicking now!
Question Author
Sloe gin, Sir A ?.

Yeah get it checked over, Baldric.

Just opened a cupboard door in the kitchen and a wine glass fell out and smashed on the floor !, is that a sign I wonder.
Question Author
No need for them to panic, Psybbo. Just keep the ice skates handy.
It makes a change for MSN to be predicting extreme weather; it's usually the Daily Express!

Interestingly though, they quote the Weather Channel as the source of their information despite the fact that the Weather Channel's website actually predicts nothing worse than some rather chilly winds from the north:

It's a sign that you've had enough already Tony
Wine glass?

I thought that you just swigged it straight from the bottle anyway, Tony!
;-)

I've just poured the first one of the evening, glass ok so far!
Question Author
Weird that, Chris.

Don't drink wine, Cap'n. I was after a glass for my Dublin porter.
Snow?
Sloe?
Slow in 'ere tonight, innit?

I would if it were up to me, Chris. But Mrs av complains about that ( you know what their like ). She says that it's uncouth to swig straight from the bottle !.
She's an old grouse then, Tony?
>>>She says that it's uncouth to swig straight from the bottle

. . . only if you're using your commode at the dining table at the same time, surely?
Question Author
Grouse or Bells, Psybbo ;-)

Chris, she put the block on that aswell.
How dare it snow when I need to travel by rail for the October half-term!
Anyone got the Post Code for the Arctic?
Question Author
