I have recently had my son diagnosed as dislexic, add and dispraxic, I have been in touch with the Dore foundation who have enroled him onto their programme, which altho costly will be well worth it.
I was wondering if anyone had an experience with the Dore foundation that they would feel willing to share, and had they really helped them or their children.

if you don't mind me asking what sort of cost is it? i had a look at their site following a link from here as my 5 year old seems to have add but it is not suitable for under 7s so i will have to wait a while.
just wondering about cost as i have spent about �2800 this year for treating my baby's flat head this year and i need to know how much i need to put aside for the next year and bit to pay for it.

My daughter, now nearly 40, was never diagnosed with dyslexia at school, when she was 21 I saw a TV programme that said the colour black is a mixture of colours and that a dyslexic eye/brain does not recognise one or more of the colours.
The programme said go to an optician and ask to be tested to see which colour is missing, get glasses with the lenses in the missing colour , in my daughters case bright orange, and wear the glasses for reading and writing.
The night she got her glasses she read for the first time .
Her son, again the school refused to accept he was dyslexic needed purple glasses.
This is not going to cure all dyslexics' , have you had your child tested by an optician? if not do so it costs nothing, if your child does need special glasses get the cheapest possible as they will only need them for a few weeks it seems the eye/brain learns to see the colour.
It is not just my family this has worked for, I have told others and it has helped their children.
Also the chemists have capsules of Evening Primrose oil and fish oil these also helped my grandson and others.
