How much violence should kids tolerate from their parents. If the kids are grown up, how much hostile aggression?

No-one should tolerate violence from anyone. Just because someone is a relative does NOT give them a right to be violent

Are you talking about random unprovoked violence? Are you interpreting aggression when a child has done something wrong as violence, or do you literally mean physical violence? As nox says you need to elaborate.
