I dont but my best mate got one two years ago cos all the celebs had one! My opinion, yuk! The carrycot is good but bub was out of it by 6 weeks. It is one of the hardest pushchairs in the world to put up. I am only 5ft and the handle is high so uncomfortable for me to push. Difficult to turn\push on stones or rough ground. She even ended up buying a huge new car and getting rid of her beloved Polo to get the blasted thing in and still has no room in the boot for shopping as well. There is a shop we want to go to together too but we cant cos the bugaboo wouldnt possibly fit! Too clumsy for quick shopping spree.

Honest opinion! Save your money. Mothercare or Mamas & Papas just as good and if you live the country and want to go for long walks, try a good old fashioned silver cross coach pram. Comfortable and big enough for bub for over a year and beautiful. Good luck with whatever. Pog x

There are many similar prams to the bugaboo on the market now. The hauck infinity is on offer in babies r us (i think) at mo for just 99 for the pushchair and carrycot in red.

There is also the i'candy apple.

I think that for the money they dont seem that great. Carry cot is tiny. I have a 3 in 1 M&P which the pram part is massive but my son looked squashed in it from about 3 months

Have a look around before deciding on being a 'smugaboo' as it really does just seem to be a status symbol.

My partner loves it, we mainly use it in town and it's great for zipping about. Although, I have a practical head and find it difficult to know where to start with the problems I have with it.

The main reason for the purchase was that it is the lightest we could find at 8kg. My partner did the test driving of all the pushchairs and buggies because she has an ongoing back problem so it's excellent and easy manoeuvrability was key to the purchase. We also liked the colour options. Unfortunatley that where it end s for me.

I work away sometimes so we wanted something easy to use so my partner would be able to do so on her own. It isn't that easy to put up or down although it's easier than others.

The storage is joke, it's totally unusable when in the cot config. haven't tried in chair config. (Our baby is very young) You have to take the cot off to get anything in it. (Although on paper this looks easy, it's a bit of a faf)
Then there's the central bar that goes right across the storage bag, you'll struggle to get a bag of shopping in there. Also the storage bag is held on by velcro(nice). Velcro is great but when you pay upto 600 for this thing you just expect more. Infact storage I feel is an after thought.

Handle is uncomfortable, forces you to bend your wrists.

It's a bit rickerty.

You have to buy the car seat seperatley.

And it does indeed fil the boot of an 04 Polo, infact to get it in you have to take the wheels off, the handle off the cot and put the cot in on its side.

I think I'll stop now, I'm just venting because my partner is still keen, maybe she'll change her mind when she starts using it herself. Fingers Crossed!

I wanted the Urban Detour, check it out!

We looked at it, but decided against as the girl in the shop said it was a pain to fold as you have to dismantle to load into car. I have a bad back & went for a light weight pram called the micralite (http://www.micralite.com/) . I love it as it is a dream to fold, push, etc. & it wasn't near as expensive, but really trendy looking.

We bought the version with a carry cot & adaptors to fit a maxi-cosy car seat on & although they are a little fiddly to put on/take off it was only for a few months until our son could use the proper push chair which he is very happy in.

It amazes me why people spend such a ridiculous amount of money on buggies/prams. We got the cheapest travel system in the shop (99 for the system plus a bit extra for raincover) and every aspect of it was perfect. Folds up nice and easily, car seat attached to it simply, shopping basket is good, reclines well etc etc. It is also sturdy and safe enough for me not to have to worry about the little chap.

They grow out of them so soon anyway, (we are looking into getting a lightweight stroller as he likes to walk most of the time now) so seems silly to spend so much.

We have a bugaboo frog and absolutly love it, I dont agree with the previous post of it being hard to put up, my husband only had to show me once how to do it, it is also not heavy, all you have to do is clip on the carrycot or seat. We manage to get it in our tiny Daewoo Matiz and renault clio. My son stayed in the carrycot until 5 and half months, he only came out of it because he was starting to crawl and kept trying to turn over in it (obviuously quite spacious) I think the new chameleon has an extendable handle, the frog doesn't but i've always found it comfy to push, i'm 5ft 4''. It is great to manouvre around shopping centres and off road, woods, stones, beaches. It did cost a lot of money and we didn't get it for the celeb factor, it is just a really well made pram/pushchair that would definatly last for more than one child.
