I loved the name Bracken for a girl . Seasons and fruit too - Apple, Summer, Autumn, Storm. Or how about Talitha - only know one baby by that name.

For a boy how about Luca, (ER fan!!),

You can get good books from shops like Ottakers too.

Everything from mystical to pagan to cartoon to cats to babys to game names - fantastic site but not to easy to get around.

www.behindthename.com is a fantastic site - names on there I've never heard of!!

Try the Random Name Generator on there too - well worth a giggle if nothing else!!
Tanika and Anais for a girl, Flynn and Tanner for a boy. Just remember tho, this child will one day be a 40 year old accountant, will they thank you for the name?

I love the name Breagha for a girl (pronounced bree-a)

It translates as 'beautiful' in Scots Gaelic.

How about snot and poo for starters. Seriously though it's worth remembering that the baby grows up and has to endure the name for a lifetime.
Oi Gef, I already said that!

how about ( BROOK) (LEVY)

I just found out today that I have a geat niece with that name

my friend's new baby is called Logan, which really suits him. It does remind those of a certain age of the popular sci-fi series Logan's Run, but it's unsual and lovely.
You''ll probably find names like Nicola and Steven are quite unusual now.

Try this site for you "celebrity" baby name

(lol, my girl is "Pipi" and boy is "Valkyrie)

or this one for your "chav" baby name

My little girl is called Cassidy Lea - I love it and she loves having an unusual name.
Sorry nfn I missed your answer. Doesn't seem to put them off though.
I like kieran for a boy and kiera for a girl but you would need to think of something that could not be shortened cause thats what happens when they go to school.
totally agree with nfn and gef. it may seem unusual to you now but could possibly be tacky 40 years down the line. also don't forget that when they start school they could be teased for having a "wierd and wonderful" name.
I recently named my babyboy, bailey, which I love (obviously) it is unusual without being too quirky.

mark the arrival of your friend's baby with a personal message on www.saysomethingspecial.co.uk

then you'll be able to announce to the world the baby's posh new name!

hello , i always get complimented on my childrens names they are aaron ( pronounced air on ) , niamh ( pronounced neev ) and liv - short for olivia . niamh is the most commented on name but isn't unusual if you live in ireland
my daughters are called keeley, kiera,& ayslin (pronounced the way it is spelled) and they all suit there names. hope you find a good one soon.
