Diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome

It has been suggested to me (by my Care Co-ordinator) that my 20 year old son may have Aspergers Syndrome. However, I really don't know too much about it but will trawl the websites for information.

What I need to know is, who do we contact for him to get a formal diagnosis? Information available for adults being tested, seems a bit vague.

Many thanks

My psychiatrist was going on about me having aspergers a few years back. I just thought that I was just odd and anti-social etc

If there is anything that the 'authorities' can do for your son to improve his life then this is good. Has he other health problems? Have you looked on places like NHS sites and netdoctor.co.uk ?
I would imagine your GP should be the first port of call as they cna refer onwards to specialist support.

This is quite an interesting test, unfortunately I cam out as being more autistic than my Apergers nephew....
