honestly I do with all my heart, but do you know what? Let me tell you, everytime I ask him to do bit of DIY I always have to ask my brother to come and sort it out. I asked him to put an iron holder in my cupboard, asking him to make sure it was the right way up, he did, but he attached it to the inside of the door, now everytime I go in there I get attacked by the iron and its wire. This adds to the long list of "things" but do you know I can't help myself from asking him, just because he is my dad and I love him!

that's so sweet... just keep on asking him cos it'll make him feel wanted and useful. Ask ya bro to come and put it right afterwards, but don't tell ya dad ! I haven't got a dad that I can say that about and sometimes wish i had... so you keep on loving yours and keep making him feel wanted !!!!
hehe my dad is exactly the same, but it makes me giggle at least you got some-one to sort it out afterwards(my husband awful at d.i.y worst than dad). just the other day my bathroom tap wouldn't turn on, i mentioned to dad and he turned up with tool box dissapeared for an hour in2 te bathroom,. he imerged later looking rather sweaty and said 'all done'. the next day i went in to the bathroom turned the tap and it popped off there was a fountain of water shooting to the ceiling. obviously i had to call plumber but i would still ask my dad to fix anything that needs it again. he loves to know he can help. carry on doing it dads do love to help xxx
