I know of three sets of parents who are both attractive - and yet none of their children have their good looks.I also know of another three sets of parents who are not good looking at all- and yet have lovely looking children.I have discussed this with other friends - and they agree with me
Yes, I know it sounds superficial but anyone else experience this?

Two negatives equal a positive?
Oui certainement

a diva ( Fransh let's say ) said to George Bernard Shaw - we should 'ave bebbies ! weez your brains and my looks eet weel conquer se world !

and George Bernard Shaw replied yes my dear but with your brains and my looks, he will be a disaster

twas ever thus as Mrs Thatcher said about something completely different and who looks nothing like the Boy Wonder, Mark
I look very much like my maternal Grandmother. Perhaps it skips a generation.
My kids all look very similar to my mum.
Often on Jeremy Kyle two horrible looking parents are arguing over a beautiful baby! I have seen that...
I share features of both my parents without looking exactly like either of them
I reckon Georgie Porgie looks rather more like Lady Diana's dad than any of the royals.

I always looked identical to my grandfather apparently which is kinda odd since he was born seventy y before me

now i am in my sixties I can see what people kinda meant

My brother looks like Mick Jagger
but that is the only link as far as we know ....

That's a shame for your brother, Peter!
It's weird. My daughter has a different dad to her brothers. She looks like me....but she also looks like her paternal family. I can't see the resemblance myself but she's been asked on quite a few occasions if she's related to me.
If my memory serves me correctly Britt Ekland, who was really beautiful when younger, had a daughter with Peter Ssellers and a son with a record producer... Lou somethin? Neither child inherited her looks..
I used to teach a lad called David. Both of his parents were tall, slim, highly intelligent and articulate. David was also tall, slim, highly intelligent and articulate. Anyone looking at him could quickly see a resemblance to both his parents.

His younger brother Simon, however, was short, chubby and 'one of life's plodders'. He looked nothing like either of his parents.

Yet Simon was their natural son, whereas David had been adopted by them!

I'm surprised that didn't get more laughs. Changeling babies, indeed!

just a thought - do these 2 x 3 sets of parents live near each other........... ???
// Neither child inherited her looks..//

but did they inherit his ( peter Sellars) money ?

i think sometimes "Dream teams" don't work - Don Revie and England, David Jason /Ronnie Barker =Open All hours..., Countless "favourite sons" returning to clubs as managers..
Its a gene thing really genes are recessive and can surface again a generation or three later - like two dark haired parents producing a ginger. or as an extreme the recently reported twins where one was white and one black.
