Ermmm as above really lol.

So! My daughters boyfriend has been chucked out of his mothers house and is going to be living with me. There is a lot of back story here but I don't feel it's relevant to my question :)

His parents have said they will be paying for for his upkeep but to be honest I don't expect that last. He will not turn 18 until next year so I assume that as I have got him to sign up for a full time college course today I will be entitled to his child benefit?
Also as I am on a low income myself and receive working tax credit do I need to inform the tax people?

Hope you're all well... not been on here for agessssss!!!!!

Why has he been chucked out of his parents house - are you ok/prepared to take on / deal with whatever issues they are ?
right ho - our posts crossed
Whats going to happen if they fallout or finish the relationship, and please don't tell me they are going to share the same bedroom!

Their accommodation is sorted and they have been together for 2 years. This has all been discussed between us.

It is the financial side I need the help with, not the emotional :)
Just because they have been together 2 years, they could still finish! How old is your daughter?
Question Author
OK, thanks for all your help but like I said the emotional side is sorted.

I posted to have a question answered not for my daughters private life to be dug over.
Well done divegirl, I can't help but wish you all well. Good to see you posting again xx
Hi Lisa, nice to see ya posting again. Best of luck with the tax man.
Hiya welcomes back, we missed ya :)
Lisa....I wish I could answer your question....I don't have that knowledge...but...

When I was fifteen my mother threw me out....my boyfriend's parents took me in and I lived there for three years...no upkeep from my parents....
But I always appreciated being taken in off the street and we remained friends til their deaths....in fact they were smashing "grandparents" to the daughter I had when I married MrG.....

So good on you....and all the best....xxx

Thank you guys... looks like I'll just have to give them a ring.

I will try and pop in more often... I run my own forum now [a parrot one] so most of my time is taken up on that :)
