I would like to know if any AB's out there that would know how do I go about getting my husbands face book page/account closed, unfortunatly he passed away on the 26/10/2012 and I find it difficult when I am contacting my grandchildren via FB and see his face looking back at me and also for them, thankyou in advance WHF.

You can deactivate that account, but I think you would need his password. I'm sure there are ways of doing it though, I hope someone on here can be of more help.
it must be tough now, maybe in the future you'll feel different, I gather you have the log in details, go to the home heading top right, select account settings from the drop down options, then select security settings, at the bottom it says 'deactivate account'. could you not set up your own facebook account and leave your late hubby's intact? ~It would be always there if you felt you could check it out later.
I am so sorry to hear this, WHF - why don't you contact FB via their contact link, and as if they can do it for you, under the circumstances?

Hi No I do not have his log in details, yes I know what you mean by leaving it on the site because at the moment it is very raw, but in time it might be nice to see him looking back at me, thankyou WHF

For the time being, block him. You can unblock him and deal with his account when you're feeling a bit stronger xx
