I have an idea for a series, in fact, I’ve already started filming it but it was only until recently that I thought about the series and the rights to it and all that legal stuff. Let me give you a little context.

My friend has a business where he provides a service. In this business, I have started to film interactions with clients and services rendered. This is my idea and my series. I’m using his location and crew. As the days pass by, I film the interaction with customers and the crew providing the services requested.

What type of contract do I need that says that I am the owner of the series and we are splitting the ad revenue but not the rights to the same. The day I decide to go to another location that provides the same service to make a “season 2″ can do it without problems or misunderstanding about the future revenue of the series.

This is a UK based website but this looks like a good place to start: https://creativelawcenter.com/protect-creative-work/

Perhaps you need a contract drawn up by a solicitor?
Are you in the US or the UK (or somewhere else), Mogabie?
