Hi TIGER64
I'm no expert in these things but like you I'm a Lloyds shareholder and entitled to the share offer. From what I've been reading in the papers, the general view is if you're looking at holding them long term (at least three years) then they are probably a good buy. I've taken up my full allocation.
Lloyds have recently released a thinly veiled profit warning so there may be a short term dip, but long term prospects are good.

The shares are near their lowest but still closed at 65p today. Investors Chonicle's advice it to take up the offer. I've taken my full allocation.
Time is getting short now so I'm applying for my allocation today. The price is dropping today but the offer price is still good and we need to get rid of those preference shares.
