Bradford & Bingley shares

I have/had 250 shares in Bradford and Bingley. I understand that these are now worthless!!! Am I right in thinking that B&B merged with someone. Am I likely to get any replacement shares of any sort?

B&B was nationalised last year. The Government has made a compensation order which sets out the procedures for determining how much compensation shareholders will get, but things haven't moved much further forward yet.
The Government are to appoint a valuer to assess the appropriate level of compensation. However they're not even interviewing for the post until May, so it will be a long time before anyone sees any money.
