dont know if this is the case in the rest of the country but try counting the number of barber shops as you go through south london

a big percentage of these are open late - past 11pm and i notice that they dont appear to do much barbering

is there a planning loophole whereby you can get any class business use changed to open a barbering facility?

they appear to operate as hang-out joints (no connotation intended)

Always handy if you need 'something for the weekend'
...then again count, lots of supermarkets are open 24/7 in the week, and you can get "supplies" in there these days...
Yes but then you'd probably be buying of a giggling teenage girl or sour faced old crow. Much better to buy of a fellow man of the world who wont bat an eyelid and might give you a quick shave, in case you feel the need to.....please a lady in a particular way..... without causing stubble rash
Chap I know believes many barbershops are just fronts for laundering cash.
I reserve my case count, I'm not a bloke so I wouldn't know that....
Chap I know swears he's Elvis...............
A lot are 'rent a chair' and have freelance hirers working.
A barbershop falls under Use Class A1(shops) so unless there are restrictions on the site they can carry out any other uses under Class A1. The opening hours may or may not be specified in the original A1 planning permission.
