Sorry, I should have also asked : What should I expect to sell for, per gram ? 9 ct gold.

obviously will depend on where and how much, but about £5-9 a gram is what google results are suggesting
What you will sell it for depends on where you take it. If you fall for one the TV adverts and put it in an envelope you will get about half what could expect from reputable high street jeweller that purchases old gold.

Rex Johnson is currently offering £81.90 for 10grams of 9 carat gold. And that's online. If you live in the Midlands you can take it to one of their shops. If not try a local jeweller who buys gold.
