What you are thinking of doing is a major step. There is no definitive answer it depends on what you are hoping to achieve, and your unique personnal circumstances. The worst scenario is that you will fall out with your children and they would then be able sell the property from under your feet, leaving you homeless. There are other scenarios, if you are thinking about IHT, you may find that depending how things are arranged that it could be seen as a "Gift with reservation" and IHT has not been obviated!
Why not just sell for 'peppercorn' rate - Councils do it ? If it's to be money transaction sell for 10p.
Not that simple tamborine, if it was that easy there would be no inheritance tax on property..
