Voluntary Sports Organisation

I am looking to set up a voluntary sports organisation, providing after school and holiday activity clubs for young people.
The scheme will be run by people aged 18-25, all with National Governing Body qualifications in specific sports which will be delivered at the sessions.
There will be a charge for participants to take part, but it will be a not-for-profit organisation. Any profit raised will be used to continually develop the resources and facilities available, thus hopefully improving the scheme.
My question is - do I need to develop this as a business?, or can it be like a normal sports club, such as your local football club, where you have an appointed Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer?
Obviously, the latter would be the eassier option, but I don't particularly want to get it wrong...
Could anyone please advise?

I think I would deal with this matter by forming a Company with a Limited Liability Guarantee whose objectsare for the purposes set out in your question
This would protect the Officers from Personal Liability and maintan continuity
The problems of having Cmmittees is that it carries personal liabilities and people overlook that people have died or moved away and records are not kept up to date
