I receive a state pension - my wife has a pension forecast which states she will receive an amount similar to me but a friend has suggested that she will get only about one half because we cohabit. Is this true?

Individuals accrue pension separately, such that assuming your wife has worked (and/or has NI credits for years looking after children), she will get a pension in her own right.
