I've been sent a letter from black horse finance to say i'm behind with my payments which upon checking with my bank i'm not. my direct debits have been going out as normal. will this letter still be a mark against my credit rating?

Well firstly you must contact Black Horse and get it sorted out.

Follow up your phone call with a letter, and ask them to confirm in writing that you are not in default.

Any erroneous mark against your credit rating can be amended very easily - if this proves necessary, ask Black Horse to recompense you the small fee.
