Hello

Me and my partner are sharing with freinds in centeral London.

We wish to move out as sharing is starting to be a drag. We have a small amount of money for a deposit and we are plaining on staying together having been together for a long time, we are not married but that happend in the short to near term.

Ideally we would like to live in centeral london as we both enjoy the local and we also work in centeral London.

I was plaining on moving out and our monthly rent allowance is around 1300. But my work collegue has recommended that me and my partner actually buy a place, maybe shared owner ship of which I know nothing about.

We are plaining on staying in England for at least 2-3 years.

What is the best thing for us to go in a financial sense
throwing such a large amount of money away nearly 30k over the next two years does seem a bit silly. Is shared ownership a good idea how can I find out more and are there any other options.

We are both in are late 20's and professionals able to pay up to 1400 together per month.
