I have a small loan with the Northern Rock. If they go bust is it likely I'll have to pay back my loan instantly (d'oh) or might I not have to pay it at all (WOOHOO)

They are not going to go bust - and if they did they would sell the loans off - so you would just owe someone else - but pay in the same way
