I'm looking to buy an all-in-one printer. Find HP catridges a bit on the expensive side. Which would be the best one to go for? lexmark? epson? brother?

Epson definately. You can get loads of cheap ink cartridges for them all over the net. They don't have to be the original epson ones either the rest are just as good.
