A friend of ours is going abroad for a year. She has found a tenant for her property and has asked my boyfriend to act on her behalf with regards to collecting rent from the tenant, paying the money into her mortgage account, organising repairs etc. Technically I suppose he is her 'agent', but this will be done as a favour, with no fees taken etc. Does anyone know which documents he should request in order to make his position clear and give him legal power to do so? Thanks in advance.
