My first post!!

I'm thinking about opening a A&L current account so I can then use the 10% saver account. Has anyone already got one? I am going to transfer 500 in each month the 250 into the savings account. I then plan to transfer 240 back out of the A&L current account, leaving only a small balance each month. Is this ok? Any worries I should know about before I open an account??

I have one!

I opened it two months ago - I transfer 500 in each month and two weeks later transfer the spare 250 to another investment account (with the Halifax).

Nothing to worry about - you can access it on line too.

Just be sure you can afford to save 250 each month for 12 months.

Not sure if you're set on A&L, but Barclays have the same system (10% saver with a current) I believe.
