Has anyone had a letter from the "Unclaimed Prize Register".There is a phone number to call to get a allocation code at 1.50 per min and the call lasts for six mins or there is an address in Ross on Wye if you don't want to phone. I wondered if anyone had actually got a prize or is this yet another scam. The prizes on offer range from a 20,000 cheque, 32"tv,digital camera, new kitchen(or 5,000) or 250 in cash. The letter comes from the Award controller and (no supprise) is unsigned.

I have just got off the phone with there customer services department and they are very rude unhelpful and from what I can tell there are only three of them in the office both very rude and very patronising. best way is to be rude and patronising back so if you wish to call the latest number it is 01989760542 fill your boots. I have also uncovered an address with several similar organisations in . Green Heys, Ross on Wye, HR9 5PQ. Also mention to them the possibility of it being a larger prize and listen to their responce the very quickly say it is not as if there are no larger prizes which I do beleive is ilegal. see if they can prove that there are these larger prizes. I'll bet they can't!
keep getting letters from this company, however i have noticed the letters have changed, as im sure in the first letter, it stated in the small print that the digital camera prize was one of my chosing upto £100 value. which even if that is the most common prize for the chance of £100 or the crappy cam they send out is worth it. but on the newer letters there is no mention of the choice. very strange that.

you are all right, something does need to be done about this, i think im going to cross shred there letters, and post them back each piece in a single envelope (i get them for cheap) see how they like there po box filled with 10000 letters of a 1" x 0.2" piece of paper in each. off course i will not be including return address, and will remove my address for the letters prior to shredding, and will i pay for the postage, nah i dont think so.
I have just phoned spoken with customer services department and yes they are very rude unhelpful.

Yes something does need to be done about them, but not to cross shred there letters, and post back to them each piece in a single envelope, which you are not get them for cheap, actually they not bother what ever you say on the phone or on your letter, still they make other idiot to take their money again and again. They doing it for more than 3 years and nothing changed. Should contact authority to sort it out with them and stop them doing that and I believe they liable for refunding people money in fully.
I keep getting these. Is there anything we can do to stop this?
I am well up for "any means necessary". maybe we can all post back their letters on the same date or just equally trick them into a similar scam.
I've been getting these. They are persistent- i've had around five FINAL REMINDERS.
thank you guys. i got one through the post to day. what i wounder is how do they get our adresses and the adresses they send mine to is my mum's house and i dont evan live there :S.
ALSO.....some of these 'scams' are set up by debt collection agencies to get you to call them about claiming a prize and it's actually about unpaid debt and then they've got all your details and also confirmation you live at that address. So its them who get the cash LOL

I received a letter from these people the other day, needless to say that I did a lot of checking and found this site. As I thought, it is unsolicited junk mail!

I also found a site called think Jessica, it has information about junk mail like this and I thought that I would send them an email. I haven't had a response as yet, however they have some good information on the site.

WARNING TO ALL

DO NOT BOTHER REPLYING OR RINGING UP

As it has said before, the number on the letter is for a camera (which will be classed as sub standard by todays measures!)
just 2 let every1 know ... I had one of these letters 2 weeks ago ... i fell 4 it and rang the phone number!! And i am soooooooooo glad i did! My letter had the code 284338 on it and i was given a code of 6064 over the phone!! I sent off the letter with 2 stamps as requested and yesterday a man turned up on my door with a letter that i had 2 sign 4 and he asked 2 see my original letter 2 check that i had the correct code!! Inside my letter was a check for £25, 000 and a refund for both of my 1st class stamps!! I was glad i did it coz my bank account now shows i have an extra £25 grand YES!!!!!!! lol

Had one also. haven't responded to something I didn't enter into. Shred it is the best advice you can have.
had same here, with no details of who this company are. Probably a scam wanting your bank account details. shred it!!
ISN'T IT THE CASE THAT ANY ENVELOPE - EVEN WITHOUT A STAMP - HAS TO BE DELIVERED B Y THE ROYAL MAIL?
WHY NOT SEND AN EMPTY, UNSTAMPED ENVELOPE TO THESE GENEROUS PEOPLE?
i RECEIVED AN 'AWARD' LETTER THIS MORNING - I THINK I'M POSTING LATER.
They are still sending these out, evidently targeting OAP's. Must be a very profitable scam to have carried on for so long.
I got one today and was wondering the same
I got one today but have had similar before you usually win a holiday voucher and have to get your own flights and pay for all meals so cheaper to get a package deal. Hope this helps
