There’s a distinct difference when dealing with those working from home and that’s most companies now , I feel back in a working environment produces better standards of customer care
For example
My coming holiday with the ladies in April?
Two don’t have emails or internet so I said I’d do their insurance , of course I had to pass the data protection procedure with them sitting next to me, no problem, I said I’d do it because one of the ladies phoned the insurance company and came off quite distraught , she was quoted £364 for a two week holiday in the Canaries, I went online and got her insurance for just over £48, just a mini rant ;0)
Same company !

Would it be any different if I was a 40 something???
PS how will someone being it the workplace affect the workings of the website? and how do you know the person your friend spoke to wasnt in the workplace?
Question Author
Perhaps the dog barking gave it away:0/
i dunno, were you working when you were in your forties?
Question Author
I absolutely was , from 16-to 60 , what’s the relevance?
i do not work in customer service, but i work much more efficiently from home, and my company gets lots more efficiency and hours from me at home than at work, so for me, your statement is not true really

Okay, can’t argue with your work ethics , maybe I’m out there on my own and CS is much better in today’s environment ?
All those working in London who are now working from home should lose their London weighting allowance as they no longer commute.
Working from home for customer facing staff has become one of the (many) great scandals of the entire pandemic fiasco. I'll forgive the early days on the pandemic (say, for about the first six months) but after that businesses have had plenty of time to organise their affairs in a more professional manner. Anybody who I contact now who trots out the "because of Covid...." mantra gets short shrift from me. Last week I had occasion to contact a business from whom I had ordered about £800 worth of goods and there was a problem. My call was interrupted once because, wherever my call was being taken, a child was screaming and then again because the postman was knocking at the door. I cancelled my order and made it clear why I was doing so.

People need to get back to their offices. They can go to the pub, to
a restaurant, to the shops, travel by bus, train and by air, but working in an office is seemingly too dangerous for them. Well I've got news - at some time everybody in the country will eventually be exposed to Covid. You may delay it by keeping yourself locked away but unless you do that forever, you won't avoid it. Working from home is no longer necessary and for many people it simply doesn't work (at least not for their customers).
I think the truth behind this is that the online pixies said.....Oh No! It's Bobbi....just give her what she wants! ;-)
i'm saying that when you are not the one having to go into the office/building (ie when you are retired) it's very well to say "everyone should go back to the office" as it doesnt mean you.

Haha Gness , I was very calm , I worked in CS so going on shouting doesn’t work
//i'm saying that when you are not the one having to go into the office/building (ie when you are retired) it's very well to say "everyone should go back to the office" as it doesnt mean you.//

What's the problem with going into an office, then?
Agree.....I never shout....but I can talk the odd person into submission with a bit of humour....and lots of talk...ask Dave... ;-)
NJ absolutely no problem with going into the office (from me anyway) and if my company wanted me to work from the office FT i would go back FT of course (they pay me to do work and they have the ability to specify where)
Question Author
Tsk, tsk ya dorty bugga Gness
Talking Dave into a submission ( not with furry handcuffs I hope ) ;0)))
it is a big swing, you sure you got all her conditions down correctly?, all medication etc?
I agree, Bobbi. The sooner life gets back to normal the better.
Tonyav still has the handcuffs, Bobbi....MrsO should never have let him have them... :-(
