Not necessarily; it could be VISA that has given in. Whilst a lot of people will have switched their custom to a different retailer there will also be those, like me, who have just switched to a Mastercard thus causing a loss of revenue for VISA.

Reading what Barry had said I thought I'd wait and see and I'm so glad I didn't have to bother getting another card. I use smile.amazon as then some of my money goes to charity, so I didn't want to change to another supplier and I cba to get a different card.

My interpretation of the email from Amazon is that it's not all done and dusted; they have just postponed things whilst they negotiate further with VISA.

Might be a bit late, a lot of banks have already switched their cards to Mastercard.

Ladybirder if Amazon, does stop accepting visa your best bet would probably be getting a prepaid card to order with

The overriding reason for wanting to use the Visa card I have is because it is a Cashback Card and I get a percentage of my spend back every time I use it. It has added up to a good amount over the years.

I found it interesting that there was no word from Audible that they would stop taking Visa - Audible are part of Amazon.

That made me think that Amazon might change their mind.
