I sent a parcel to my daughter via Parcel2go. It contained a pair of Birkenstocks (£60)and a pillow (£30). I insured the parcel for £90 in case of loss or damage. The parcel never arrived at my daughters. P2G said they had tried to deliver 3 times with no success (a lie because my daughter has been working from home). They then said the parcel had been located and returned to the retailer and I should liase with them (another lie because it wasn't coming from a retailer). I have put a claim in and P2G have made me an offer of £32 as a settlement. They are not willing to pay the insured amount of £90.
I am at stalemate with them. Any ideas how I can make them pay up?

You could send them receipts for goods. Do they have a complaints dept. Maybe contact trading standards? Certainly write or email to them rather than telephone calls.
You could start here initially if you haven't already.

I have sent invoices and a copy of the bank statements showing the payments being sent. They have had all the documentation which was asked for. Bizarrely they are only offering compensation for the pillow and not the shoes

Did you ask them which retailer.
Have you used the tracking number to see when and what actions were taken?

What reasons did they give for not paying the amount insured?
Try phoning them to speak directly to someone at the company. Their published numbers are premium rate ones but these normal rate ones might work:
01204 544951
01204 387098
01204 488900

Thanks Buenchico. I hadn't been able to find any phone numbers so that's really helpful. THECORBYLOON - Once I made a claim I wasn't able to view tracking any more, but there is a record of all 'actions taken' and updates. It appears to be a work of fiction!

Why not try the company who actually had the job of delivering the parcel, eg Hermes or whoever. You might get a better response.
I thought P2G was just a price comparison site.
