did the letter say when it'd be paid?
Sorry I don't get it, so can't help on the actual questions
Had neither so far, but in the past there has been a gap between letter and payment of several weeks.
had the letter but it hasn't gone into the bank yet . . .
My letter said that if it wasn't in my bank by 23rd December I shoudl call 0800 731 0160
From the Government's site,

"Most payments are made automatically between November and December. If you get any other benefit, you’ll get your Winter Fuel Payment at the same time as your regular payments."
Mine arrives in my bank at about the same date every year...21/22 of November. The letter always arrives several days later.
The site also says,

"Most payments are made automatically between November and December. You should get your money by 13 January 2021."
@Atheist: My letter said that if it wasn't in my bank by 23rd December I should call 0800 731 0160

Mine also.
I think we should all give it up this year, and let Boris have it, after all he's struggling to make ends meet on £150.000 a year, along with free accommodation, free elec, gas, council tax, rent, at no 10. It must be hard. :0) Food bill not to sure?
if i get my winter fuel allowance next year, as a single person can anyone advise how much it will be. does it depend on whether you get certain benefits. I have tried contacting the WFA phone number but have had no response. I will 66 at the end of December, born 1954.
On my Bank statement today. Probably alphabetical
once again a knock at the PM over his fairly measly salary, in comparison with say footballers
He has children to keep, schooling to pay for, a new baby, a relatively new life, alimony etc, that salary as he has stated doesn't go far.
it sounds a lot, but i feel that the PM and the MP's are considerably underpaid for the job they do. I would pay them more, provided they didn't have outside interests, job wise.
danny, i did all that, and phoned the number listed for advice, it doesn't lead me anywhere, except it says you are not eligible at this time. I will turn 66 and receive state pension and pension credit, so i was told from end of December 2020, So assuming all that i can make a claim next year?
teacake, he also like every other Joe soap, pays tax on that sum.
Emmie, you don't have to make a claim, it is paid automatically.
i thought that as a first time, one would have to make a claim....
EMMIE, providing the criteria and amounts remain the same, you'll receive £200 as a single pensioner and it should be paid automatically.
how do i find out how much it will be....tried ringing the advice line again, but you get put on the website, for info.
