does anyone know if you have to apply for your state pension, as i will be coming up for mine in dec this year

i have looked on Gov.UK but there is a lot of info to sift through, so what does one have to do to apply for the state pension.
You should get a letter telling you how much and when.

ok, then how does that affect one's other benefits, i currently get PIP and ESA. would these both stop,

what exactly is Pension Credit, is it some sort of top up?
You need to apply first. Usually about four months before it's due.
If you are concerned, go to your local DHSS office and they will be happy to help you.

i stay out of the DWP as its convoluted and a time waster, having had some nasty dealings with these people over time

ok, so i have to apply, might give them a call next week, i just thought as many on here are retired you would be able to advise the process.
I suppose it depends where you are.

One learns something new every day. What an inefficient, slack, process. Don't the national authorities know who the nation's citizens are ? Why don't the competent individuals get promoted and ensure things run properly ?

there has been some discussion before on this
everyone finks er sorry thinks that since they paid and it came in 1906 ( the old people danced in the streets because they didnt have to work until they dropped) -and was clearly an element of the Welfare State

it is now classed a a benefit and you have to apply
you get a letter telling you
