I have been thinking recently of selling my Santander shares, which total 443. The value is around £1500.

This week I had a letter from Equiniti Financial Services offering to buy them. The offer would cost me 25p per share (up to a maximum of £50). Plus 0.5% commission fee for the conversion of the proceeds from Euros to Pound Sterling.

Is this a reasonable cost, or is there a more cost effective way of selling them?

Sounds on the high side to me. I'd get some quotes, Start by asking your bank and another online trader

Thank you both for your replies.
£57 is a tad steep. I buy and sell shares for £11.95 per transaction. But that's via an online account with Hargreaves Lansdowne.
