The existing £10 note will no longer be valid 1/3/18. It is recommended that we exchange them for the new polymer note.

ok, but i think that many are out of circulation now.
Changed mine as far as I recall. The issue will mainly affect those with hidden money around the house in tins/drawers/whatever or in wallets/purses not much used. But I'm sure the bank will take them for years yet.
Does everyone like the new notes? I detest them as I have a small purse and fold the notes, these new polymer notes don't fold properly so flick out all the time.
Not keen on the shiny texture. Suppose I'll get used to it. Just hope they don't slide out of the wallet. Maybe it's a scheme to stop folk choosing cash !
I don't like the new ones. I work in an amusement arcade and have to sort out the notes for banking. They slip all over the place and don't lie flat if they've been folded.

I'm assuming that its just Bank of England notes - we can still use our old style Scottish fivers etc.
Can't remember the last time I saw one !
