Letters For Previous Tenant

Hi just wondering if anyone as experiece with this. We moved in to our house 6 months ago and we still keep getting letters for the previous tenant but we got one a couple of days ago that looked important so I googled the return address and it seems to be a company to do with debts/debt collectors.
Am I just best to return the letter back. Im just worried I would get a debt collector at my door one day soon looking for the previous tenant.

Send it back with a cover letter saying that person doesnt live at the address anymore. Give them the address of the agent / conveyancer so they can pester them instead.

I have same I just cover over address and write return to Sender addressee no longer at this address and post them

I've been getting them for 5 years and no-one has turned up at my door yet.

i had a policeman turn up at my door looking looking for the previous occupant - I showed him my works photo id card and pointed out I didnt look like a Mr Chan.

This happens quite a lot to me
and there have been opinion divided as to opening them and saying that it is not you
I usually which is quite true of course say they have been opened by the kids

but if you dont - you risk having the bailiffs around - when as crapatcryptics says you have to show them you are you -and I have had that as well

Remember that you as John Smith cannot be made responsible to the previous tenants debts

Dont worry about debt collectors - No 1 is a shock and thereafter it is a case of ' o you again - who do you want this time ? '

Being impersonated is more of an issue
