We have several Premium Bonds tucked away from years ago & just wondered if anyone has ever won any money from them?

Unfortunately, we haven't!

Haven't missed out on much then!
Are you sure you haven't won? Lots of people forgot to register their change of address when they move. If in doubt, check here:

(Come to think of it, I've got 2 worth of Premium Bonds tucked away since I was a kid. Perhaps I ought to go and find them!).

Thank you Buenchico - I've used that site to check before, but all to no avail.

(Anyone using that site, please note - you don't have to enter your Premium Bond Serial Numbers, just your Holder's Certificate Number).

P.S. Good luck with your old 2 worth of P.B's - you never know!
I increased my holding to 20,000 when I retired 19 months ago, and have won (automatically re-invested )1,450, so a decent return, and although I did go for 5 months without winning anything at all, I have had 2 or 3 prizes in the other months, including a 500, and 2 of 100 - all the rest 50 each, but still hoping for the big one.  It's got to be better than the lottery, as you can alway get your stake money back!

Thanks for that info forgetfultel. You've been quite lucky with your P/B's then. My husband & I have had some of our's since 1964 & have never won a bean! In fact we'd more or less forgot about them until I was clearing out some paperwork yesterday!

Oh well I'm off to watch 'Who wants to be a millionaire?' now - if only!

My wife and I have quite a few now and I suppose are averaging about a 4% return. Not bad I suppose as you could of course win 1 million. A few years ago we only had a few and hadn't won for a long time. One day 3 prizes came in the same post, 1 for me and 2 for my wife. Unfortunately all were 50.00 wins but what a coincidence. 2 of the wins were from the same 100 bond just a few numbers apart!!! It's not a bad investment as you can always get your stake back. Try that with the lottery!
I haven't but to be honest I wouldn't know. I have had them for 30yrs but they keep on asking me for a premuim bond code/ or number which I wouldn't know. But my neighbour has just won 300 pounds today on them.
