The cashier in the Glenfield Coop service station told me that they're installing larger underground tanks - presumably so they don't have to close for re-filling so often. The tanks will apparently go under where the shop was, hence the complete demolition. The service station will re-open in due course. I find it surprising that there was no advance publicity about it.
