Credit Card Charges To Trader

Read an earlier question which made me think, is there any traders on Answerbank who accept Credit card payments who would like to share with me the charges that lets say "Barclaycard " make to them when their customers pay them by credit card, per transaction on a sliding scale I guess? would be great. Many Thanks.

2.5% for small businesses. When the turnover increases significantly the charge can be negotiated down to around 1% for very big businesses such as Tesco.
Then there is the monthly rental charge on top.
I seem to remember that one local store told me that American Express charged a 5% levy, which is why he stopped accepting Amex cards.
Amex charges different rates for different professions - an undertaker may pay a different rate to a fast food outlet.
