How would I go about 'investing' money in production companies looking to finance new film or theatre productions. I'm not talking thousands of pounds at my disposal, maybe one or two hundred.

Surely the best thing to do is to approach the Production companies directly? Approach ones that are putting on productions or making films that you love. Or you could start your own!! remember The Life of Brian would never have been made if George Harrison had not started up Handmade Films especially!

You will need to buy movie magazines which have adverts for production companies looking for small investors. One such company is Born to Bingo who were looking for investors in 2003 and offered to give each investor a walk-on or bit part - according to amount invested. Search the website for their address as I don't have the details to hand. You could invest a couple of hundred pounds that way.
