Bank of America - MBNA etc- announced today they're leaving the UK & Ireland. All over the news here inIreland, 1700 jobs affected, but no real coverage on the BBC etc ? May affect some of you with credit cards

Apparently it will be sold as a business and hopefully the 4000 jobs in Chester and 1700 in Ireland won't be badly affected.
MBNA customers probably won't notice.

hope you're right hc - when halifax upped sticks and left Ireland all balances came due that day...
