My mortgage payment always goes into Yorkshire bank on the last day of every month so's its ready to be taken by the mortgage company on the first of every month. Now this month being February and me being on the dibby side completely forgot that there is only 28 days in the month. My plan on realizing that Sunday is actually the 1st March was to get the money in to Yorkshire bank this morning but alas Ive now discovered that no yorkshire banks are open on Saturday mornings. So where does that leave me? The next time the bank is open is Monday morning the 2nd March so am I going to get 'late charges' for not getting it in by the 1st?

Ring Yorkshire bank and see if you can deposit the money by a debit card and check it will be credited today.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did try but they said it couldn't be done over the phone but they did tell me that if I get it in on Monday before 2-30pm then it should be okay. Im going to set it up by direct debit so's this doesn't happen again. Ive got everything else on dd, I just never thought of doing it with the mortgage payment. Cheers for your help factor30.
If it is set up to go in on the last day of every month, will it not go in on the 28th as it is the last day?
28th was a Saturday so it may not have gone in
