I want to send someone in Canada some money that I owe them. Using bank drafts is extremely cumbersome and slow. I have a paypal account so I could use this to send the money. However I am not sure how they then access the money at the other end. Neither do I know how much it will cost them to access the money. I don't want them to have to pay anything as I am to stand the costs of transfer. Can someone explain this to me, I have only ever used Paypal to pay for e-bay goods and never for this purpose

Whenever I have sent or received money from another country, there has no charge or very little charge.
Paypal can be used to transfer money, I have done it myself but the receiver also needs to have a paypal account.
