Hi,
Have a lump sum in a Nationwide account paying just 1.1%. I'll need to make one monthly withdrawal, are there any better rates out there ? Best I've seen is 1.4%.

approx. how much is your sum?
Do you want Instant Access, Fixed Term or a Notice Account?
So you want to withdraw something monthly? If so would it be enough just to get interest paid monthly and withdraw that?
I'd look on the Martin lewis site
Here you CW1, have a look here. You need to make a monthly withdrawal so will have to click on first one - instant access.

It's only (!) about £11k so not enough to just draw the interest. I found the 1.4% on moneysupermarket.com & via the link above. Martyn Lewis's website is a bit more complicated, will take a closer look at that, thanks for the suggestions.
On £11000 even if you could squeeze out an extra 0.2% ( ie get 1.6%) from someone that's only £22 pa so may not be worth worrying too much about or taking any risks. Sometimes current accounts pay better so look at those on Martin Lewis too
