I have just invested £10K in a 4% investment. It has a thirty day access clause and pays out in April and one other time in the year (I think its December) - so approx how much can I expect to receive in April? I made my initial investment mid December 2018

Cheers

ok so roughly, let's assume mid dec to mid apr, 4 months, so 1 third of 4% of 10k = 4/3*1000/100 = £133, less tax at whatever rate in incurs depending on your circumstances.if 20% you'll be getting £106.
Can I have a link to this investment, please? 4% is pretty good at the moment
Banks and building societies do not deduct income tax at source, 3Ts. He will get the full £133 (or whatever the amount turns out to be). It will be up to him to pay the tax if the amount takes him over his investment income tax-free allowance (currently £1,000 pa for basic rate taxpayers).

More importantly, though, where can I get 4% interest, Ric?
We all want to know...

P2P then. Let us know how you get on

I certainly will
Since Aug 2018 I have invested in a number of their schemes to a total of £36K and that includes £10K to the 30 day access - which is paying the 4%. I intend to invest another £10K in this today. I was going to go the buy to let route but I don't feel confident enough about this at the moment and really need a good mortgage broker who specifically deals in B2L mortgages - Anyone know one? ;-))
