There is a 1.5% interest rate on the 123 Santander Current Account.

So I invested double what I had already in the account. I have been keeping an eye on the interest and even though I invested about a couple of months ago. The interest at the end of the month is exactly the same as I was getting before I doubled up.

Anybody care to elaborate. Thanks

Just updating - called into Santander through the week. And that was correct what some of you were saying - the interest is capped at £20,000 so you don't get any more interest on saving more.

Interest rates are poor at the moment.

And that other account £200 per month for 12 months ie £2,400 and you only get a measly £64. You'd be better put it under the floor boards. That's what my dad did when he was dying and bedridden with his £5.00 before he died then he went ape-*** when sista came up to mop the floors. LOL

You haven't explained why your interest hasn't increased since you invested the extra £10k to take your savings up to £20k, jenny.
What did Santander say about that?
