who exactly has been doing this, is it the banks, i haven't read much about it, something about credit card, ID theft, can someone enlighten me. I did get money back from the bank a while back for the loan i had, and wondered if someone owes me more as i did take a policy out with CPP, will have to find the paperwork.

sorry to not get back, i have found the paperwork and indeed it's CPP
no one has contacted me so far. I can't remember the reason i took it out, i think it was primarily for ID fraud, will have to read the stuff i have and see. anyone else fallen for this?

i wonder if anyone can advise whether to contact the bank directly, or the company involved, i did take out this card protection some years back. Because of the time ago can't actually remember whether it was via the bank, have all the CPP paperwork still but it doesn't really tell me much.
other than i paid them x per annum

bednobs,

i contacted them and they sent a letter back, lots of us apparently sold these policies, and we will have to wait for next letter to see whether we will get any compensation, money back.
