My son's insurance claim was settled over six weeks ago. He sent back his signed acceptence. The Court case was in September.

Since then he has had no response from the insurance company other than there is a backlog and his cheque will be sent shortly.

Is there any legal time limit for insurance companies holding back cheques once the claim has been settled.
