Last month's thread is here.

New year new diet?

Who will be renewing their gym membership this year to try and help shed some of that winter weight?

Gym membership? No way.. but I will up the number of miles I walk each week and may even attack the cleaning with more vigour (might not tho')....... Will be cutting down on portion size and will be making bucket loads of vegetable soups to fill the stomach and keep me warm.
Just back from gym, Christmas gain has gone and feeling positive
Xmas gain still not finished. Gym is good fir general health so I should take it back up, but the way life is at present I don't see it happening. Need to do excessive amounts to have an effect on weight loss anyway. Even a small amount of food is a large amount of exercise to burn up.
It's not about that, OG, if you build and tone muscles you'll use up more calories.
Not enough.
And who will go twicw and give up?
Hmmm... apparently up 2 lbs over Xmas/New Year fortnight. Oh well, could've been worse I suppose.
Allegedly way up again today. Unsure I believe it. I know a pub Sunday Carvery lunch is high intake, and I didn't skimp much, but it was mostly veg, and I hardly had any breakfast, no tea, so it was pretty near all I had all day :-(
Good morning All, my Christmas treats are now just happy memories and it’s back to my normal eating and can already see the numbers decreasing, slowly but going the right way. Your plan sounds spot on MallyJ. Decreasing portion size is so good. They do tend to grow slowly but surely.
Finally have a mother free flat, last remaining danger foods in bin, really healthy shop coming tomorrow morning. Although I had a super point free chicken tikka tonight with black rice and salad. Enough left for another day. Going to try a quiche using a wrap instead of pastry tomorrow. Supposed to work really well according to the ladies at WW
Instead of a quiche, Rowan, make a frittata. No pastry, just all the good stuff.
Good morning all,
Hope all is going well. Our friend Wendilla is down with the flu. I hope it hasn’t hit a lot of you.
I think wraps as bases for fruit flans might work too.
Just half a pound down this week but only 2½ days on plan because of a trip away. Back on veggie soups and bean stews for a bit, nice comfort food.
Might do a satay flavour soup using my new favourite ingredient peanut butter powder. Hardly any of the fat and lots of protein. I will let you know how I get on.
I just received an email from Wendilla’s daughter telling me that her mum passed away yesterday.
I know that all of us will miss our faithful friend. May she rest in peace.
Sad news :-(
Gosh, that is sad news. I shall miss her space station updates. I remember one of her notifications prompted me to dash out to the back balcony of our villa in Spain and it was a beautifully clear night and we did indeed see the space station zoom over at the precise time and and in the precise direction that she had advised. I seem to remember my mother was visiting at the time and we dashed outside and just seconds later we spotted it.

RIP Wendilla.
That's so sad, I loved watching the space station and will always think of her when I see it from now on
Oh no! Very sorry to hear this.

My condolences to her family. RIP Wendilla xx
so very sorry to hear this news another good one gone xx
