Last month's thread is here.

It is now officially summer. With BBQ's and salads, will it be easy to keep the weight off?

Barbecue not well known for aiding weight loss. And I don't eat pet food. But hot weather reduces appetite (excpt for ice creams and pina colada). Here's hoping.

Had an opportunity to weigh myself this morning, and forgot :-(
Will it be easy to keep the weight off NO, but will still try. Thanks SEd and OG.
Good morning all, nice that last week’s heat wave is a thing of the past thus removing the need for ice cream, now to remove the damage that it incurred hmmmmm.
Salads should do the trick. BBQ's? There isn't a better way of ruining good food!
I love a BBQ, seafood cooks lovely on one, very partial to a lobster cooked on the BBQ
Anyway, I have my date for the photo shoot, so for the next month or so my body is a temple - protein protein and more protein for me
Weighed myself yesterday. Up. Not saying how much. Unsure why. Probably not having regular mealtimes (not under my control) and so needing to find stuff to keep me going, not helping. :-(
stayed the same but salads this week will help will try and not use the dressings .
Good morning all, down 3 pounds....nothing to brag about. My DH is critically ill so food has lost its charm.
Just to let you know that xstitchers hubby passed away this morning .
Will try and keep this posts open till she returns .
Still, the same for me which is not unusual .shoild have a loss next week .
Sorry to hear.
Thoughts with you x.
So sorry to read this, xstitcher. Please accept my condolences.
Seem to have lost most of last time's gain. Which is something. Still not good overall though. Becoming aware of the excess around my middle recently. (Not helped when some show their love by handing over bowls of so much full fat ice-cream we finished the container in one go ! Can hardly refuse.) Wish I had an easy answer, especially when not under full control of what we eat and when.

Still thinking of you x, hope you are coping.
Thanks OG. I’m coping but up and down like a kite. Dread the funeral tomorrow but have no worries for the future. I just take things as they come....bought a Christmas decoration yesterday.....mad!
Morning all,
Up a bit....family keep coming with cake and I eat it for a meal....haven’t felt like making food but have started up again
xstitcher please accept my sympathies and for now be kind to yourself.xxx
So sorry, xstitcher.

I’m getting fatter and fatter. I dread getting on the scales, so I won’t until I can actually SEE that the weight is starting to come off. I don’t even eat very much. If I did I could at least cut down a bit, but starving yourself isn’t good.
Thinking of you today xstitcher. I know that you will get back to your healthy eating .You are not going to undo all the good work you have done and you are the one that started this threads a few years ago ,Some come some go but a few come back .
cloverjo get back to writing down what you eat .plan your meals out for the week. Don't let this get more gain .Stay with us and try .The more you gain now you will have to struggle to lose if you don't get back to the healthy eating .
Stay with us and hope to see a loss next week .
Cloverjo I definitely second what Wendilla says. Not weighing yourself is not a good idea. It’s best to get it over and face the facts. When you get your food planned you’ll be surprised at the results but you won’t be able to see them anywhere but on the scales in the beginning so come on girl....up you get.
Thank you for the pep talk, wendilla and xstitcher. It was as bad as I’d feared. I’m back up to the heaviest I’ve ever been, even including when I was 8 and a half months pregnant. Back on the High Metabolism Diet.
