No sqad does not " have a point", this is Islay's journey she decides what she does with it, unless you are now qualified in bariatric surgery and psychology may I suggest sqad you are under no pressure to comment.

Well Done!!! we won't know you at all one of these days, you'll slip between the keys on the keyboard ;) you must be feeling so proud in every way, congratulations xx
Carry on like this and it will only that broad grin saving you from slipping through gratings!

Well done, you have achieved a lot and should be rightly pleased.
grinning from ear to ear? !!
I'd be jumping up and down and shouting from the roof-tops!!

A long road, hard travelled, but with continued support from all you will get there xxx

Well done sounds blinking patronising, hate the typed word at times

xxxx
That's very good - you must feel so much better.

Can I ask a serious question?

Given that you can't process enough food now to avoid losing weight, what do you do when you reach 'target' - is there another bout of surgery ahead to loosen the restriction?
Ye God's......... Fabulous ,
That's brilliant. You should be grinning ear to ear...

Thanks everyone
Dave, eventually my stomach is supposed to stretch a wee bit so that I am on tea plate size meals as supposed to saucer as I am at the moment. The increase in calories mean the weight loss should cease. There is no reversal from my operation.
Thanks - I didn't understand that bit.

I hope everything continues to go well for you.

Cheers mate
Obesity is an epidemic and weight loss surgery is the only cure, at the moment. Not enough surgeons and not always available on the NHS.
Well done to Islay who demonstrates the main ingredient for success........MOTIVATION.
Her next step for complete recovery is to accept her new life and not keep posting about it.....and then...only then has she succeeded.
I have great confidence in her.
Why shouldn't she post about it? This is in weight loss & dieting!!!
Good for you Islay!. An inspiration indeed. Well done.
ummmm....once again....you miss my point.
((sqad)) and xxxxxx

I know I know, you don't do signs of affection but stuff it, I'll give you respect for your answer in a form I know how to :-D
Brilliant achievement, be rightly thrilled.x
I understand Sqad's point too , Islay is still on the journey and I'm sure when the time comes she will stop updating us.

For now encouragement and support is ongoing.
well done Islay - would your next stop be that you have to get rid of your excess skin like Lisa Riley.
Wow that's a whole person lifted off your shoulders, well done you, excellent stuff!

I asked a similar question to islay the other day - but got ignored :-)

You say your stomach will stretch a wee bit .
Does that mean that it will stretch enough for you to eat enough , to stop losing weight ; once youv'e reached the target ?

Sqad I thank you for part of your answer there isn't enough surgeons or money to help this problem. As for stopping posting about it, I really don't feel the need to. There are many on here that post about mundane things, ' I haven't eaten today ' or 'Sunday lunch, I'm having goose wrapped in gold, what are you having ' or worse I'm 3 minutes into a gestation period longer than an elephants!! Perhaps I may stop posting when those type of threads cease!!
